Troop 538 has helped boys progress through the scouting ranks for over 60 years and we welcome anyone who is interested in joining the Boy Scouts of America. We meet at Faith Lutheran Church, on rte 45 just west of Lewisburg, at 7:30pm on Wednesday nights. This site is designed to help us keep track of activities, make announcements, and communicate both with ourselves and with our community. It can be viewed by clicking here.June 28, 2008- Fourth of July Parade Our troop has been asked to provide scouts to carry flags. We will be arriving at 9:15AM. The meeting place will be announced shortly. If you can come to help carry flags during this event, please Email Mrs. BettnerSummer Camp Info Check out the summer camp page for all the latest info, including Merit Badge lists, Tent Sign Outs, etc.Court of Honor - April 16 The troop court of honor scheduled for March 26th will now be held on April 16th.Important upcoming dates Troop Elections- April 2, 2008National Youth Leadership Training at Camp Lavigne Course: June 20, 21, 22, 2008 (Friday - Sunday)Personal Management merit badge info The start of the Personal Management merit badge will be the first Wednesday in March. Please bring your cans to the next meeting! See the schedule for more information about upcoming events. Attendance at meetings is mandatory if you intend to go on any of these campouts. If you miss a meeting you miss planning and information relating to the campout. You also do not participate in the work required to plan one of these trips. Galleries of activitiesSand Springs Flat hike, Oct 22, 2006 - We had a great hike - 5.4 miles in about 3 hours, including lunch, working with maps, and working with first aid kits.October, 2003 - Backpacking near Spruce Run and meeting up with the rest of the troop at McCall Dam April, 2004 - Camping at McCall Dam, doing cooking and the 5 mile hike for the new patrol, and being joined by the backpackers from Spruce Run in the rain September, 2005 - Mountain biking at Rider Park October 15-16, 2005 - Camping at Hickory Run State Park, including the giant boulder field October 29-30, 2005 - Camping at Camp Krislund, Day 1, including games, the climbing wall, the pamper pole, dinner, and the campfires October 29-30, 2005 - Camping at Camp Krislund, Day 2, including activities, birthday candles, snowball fight
